Why take these courses?Wired For Reading Introductory Course: This Course is an engaging, entertaining, quick but deep exploration of linguistics. Teachers come away with a well-established speech-motor base to teach phonological awareness. They also discover memory-friendly and entertaining phonics stories to clarify letter/sound relationships across spelling patterns, and understand how word origin dictates spelling. Finally, participants leave with graphic organizers for both the content and process of the program. Wired For Reading Intermediate Course: The fun, the drama, the music, and the stories continue! Now that your students have a strong foundation of phonological awareness and are able to decode single syllable words, you will learn strategies to move them on to read and spell multi-syllable words. You will have a chance to share your implementation stories, and explore concepts more deeply. Wired For Reading Advanced Course: You will learn the secret that all spelling-bee champions share and how to apply it in your teaching. You will discover how adapted American Sign Language wakes up the brain and makes word meanings stick like glue.
